Default Can You Help Us?

PastorBookshelf has launched two programs to get free books into the hands of pastors and ministry leaders across the country. There's no cost, just a little reading and writing involved.

The sad thing is, we've had only meager response!
  • Fewer than ten entries for each of our giveaway weeks.
  • Seven reviews submitted to the Review Program so far (1 review=1 free book!)
So we need to know:
  • Has there been a radical drop in the desire for free books?
  • Are people avoiding the free offers out of an odd sense of humility?
  • Do the programs or their rules need clarification? (If so, how?)
  • What do you suggest we do to increase interest?
  • Will you help spread the word?

We want to give away some books!

Default Book Reviews

I'll be the first to admit that I am currently unable to find the reference on your site that I thought I saw, but the reason that I am not personally involved is that the qualifications did not include lay-persons such as myself. If I remember correctly, you limited the participants to either (a) those in active ministry in a leadership or teaching position within a church or (b) students actively engaged in completing their education with the express purpose of entering such a position.

Were you to open your requirements up to the laymen, you might have a few more participants. It is your call of course, and I understand that on a Pastor Forum I am sort of on the "fringe", but since you asked...I thought I would offer my point of view.

Every bit of input is helpful! I'll talk to my superiors and see what we can do about that!
