An Effective Illustration

Here's a sermon illustration that seems to have really "stuck" with my people. The sermon was entitled, "Share Christ Clearly", with the text being Colossians 4:2-6. The illustration shows believers how they sound when they witness to unsaved, unchurched, biblically illiterate people using our "secrect, specialized Christianese". Feel free to use it. I googled many of the terms used in the COMPLICATED DIRECTIONS. See if YOU can figure out what these directions are for BEFORE you look at the SIMPLE DIRECTIONS below. CONSTITUENTS
-220 grams of saccharin
-192.5 grams of totally inclusively functioning ground, refined Triticum spp
-85 grams of a Pennsylvania borough’s finely powdered product of the Theoroma cacao L plant
-90 globules of a mixture of tartaric acid and sodium hydrogen carbonate
-90 globules of sodium bicarbonate
-60 drops of sodium chloride
-Ö 4 oospores of the gallus domesticus
-½ pint of the non-solid, non-gaseous secretion of the Bos Taurus
-¼ pint epoxy soybean oil, Molecular formula C57H106O10
-10 ml of liquidated substance taken from the elongated, fleshy seed pod of the Orchidaceae plant, also known as vanilla fragrans
-.236 liters of hydrogen dioxide that has undergone an endothermic reaction at 373.15° Kelvin

SUPERVISORY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Elevate the thermal reading of a domestic kiln to an internal climate reading measurement of 176.666666° celcius.
2. Lubricate and apply a thin coating of ground, refined Triticum spp to a duo of Ö 81 inch cylindrical vessels suitable for high temperature endothermic reactions.
3. Engage the constituents in agitation, amalgamating all but the hydrogen dioxide for 120 seconds, utilizing an electrical agitation appliance of a size that fits the metacarpus and phalanges of a Homo sapiens, set at a mediocre acceleration.
4. Infuse the hydrogen dioxide into the amalgamation.
5. Distribute the commixture into the duo of cylindrical vessels suitable for high temperature endothermic reactions.
6. Deposit the cylindrical vessels into the interior of the domestic kiln for approximately 0.00006 years.
7. Remove the cylindrical vessels from the domestic kiln and allow for a complete exothermic reaction before portioning into individual sized units suitable for Homo sapiens consumption.|

SIMPLE DIRECTIONS

INGREDIENTS
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.

2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely.
